Reduced to Tears

Last night I was watching the Westminster Dog Show on USA when this commericial came on:

I was completely reduced to tears. It reminded me of when we went to the shelter to adopt our dog, Deuce. We walked into the room where all of the dogs were. All of the dogs were jumping on the kennels and barking trying to get our attention. All but one that is. Deuce crawled on his belly to the edge of his kennel and laid there quietly while we petted him. He was just the sweetest little dog we'd met. I know some people are hesitant to adopt from a shelter because "you just never know what you are going to get" but Deuce is a much better behaved dog than our other dog that we got from a breeder. Curt and I have agreed that with any future pets we get they will come from a shelter or rescue organization.

In other dog news, we were very excited that Uno, the 15-inch Beagle, won the dog show last night. Our other dog, Tahj, is also a 15-inch Beagle. He is a bit chunkier and less well behaved than Uno, but we love him nonetheless.
